That roof in Harlem enveloped the setting for where I would take the picture that would move my heart into its place. It was a picture of a courageous soul, with the deepest of eyes. On the set with us was a friend I had met in Burning man months before. He held this Himalayan necklace on the background of that soul’s earthly artwork. It was an offering for good luck on a new journey I did not know I was about to take.
